Not able to use conditions with a Narrative View

Use Case and Business Need

In OBI you cannot create TABLE and PIVOT TABLE views with the column titles going down the left hand side/vertically.  You could do this in Business Objects however.  In OBI, the column titles can only be arranged going across the top/horizontally.  You can use a narrative view and use HTML tags to create a table and have it vertically arranged HOWEVER you CANNOT create conditions like you can on the standard TABLE and PIVOT TABLE views in OBI.  So for instance I cannot set the field to change to a different color based on the value in a particular field.  This works with the TABLE and PIVOT TABLE views only.  There is no where to set a condition for a narrative view.  This works fine with the  TABLE and PIVOT TABLE views.
