OBIEE - Print and Export Analysis Options - Lockdown Methods
Use Case and Business Need
I would like to be able to control what my users see for choices on exporting and printing analysis. Right now it is either on or off and there is no option to prevent a user from sending an analysis to a PDF or Power Point. The formatting in some analysis will not work with some of the choices. For example, one of our production analysis uses the Narrative View instead of a standard Pivot View because of the number of columns it has and had to be designed in an vertical layout instead of the standard horizontal layout. I discovered when I export this narrative view analysis using anything but Excel 2003 or html it breaks and just shows jumbled up text for PDF, Power Point, Excel 2007. I want to turn off the other export and print options that do not work. Either that or could Oracle fix the narrative view so the user can export using all options available? Thanks!
