Use Case and Business Need

In Embedded Reporting (BI Publisher) there is not currently an option to disable users from being able to create schedules for reports that they have access to in Embedded Reporting. We would like the ability to turn on/off this option for certain users or user groups. Most of our users should not have access to this functionality as a standard setting.

Achievable today via roles/ACLs: remove scheduling privilege (e.g., “Schedule Publisher Report”) from the relevant roles so “Create Schedule” is effectively disabled in embedded scenarios. Reference: Oracle Analytics Catalog ACLs best practices (Catalog ACLs).
