Require Ability to Report/Audit on BI Folder Changes
Organization Name
Office Depot
Description
There is a fundamental need to be able to track changes in Fusion SaaS. This applies to all areas of the applications including BI.
Oracle has provide some audit capabilities to track changes as per the following note, but it does not go far enough.
- Fusion Applications BI Publisher : How To Configure And Use Audit In BI Publisher For Fusion SaaS Cloud Customers? (Doc ID 2059102.1)
All Oracle customers MUST have a way to track and audit changes made to custom BI folders.
Use Case and Business Need
Product Development/Strategy,
It is time to implement a reporting mechanism for folder changes. We are not the only company to have logged an idea about this must have requirement and we will not be the last.
Anytime someone makes a change to a folder or something in a folder, there can be a ripple effect. Reporting and integrations can fail, unnecessary SR's are logged, valuable time is wasted by customers researching, etc. All this happens because no one can quickly determine if a folder was accidentally moved, deleted, etc.
BI folders play a part in how we use all other modules from a reporting and integration stand point. As a result, should we log this same idea across all idea labs to gain enough votes? If not, please explain what the hold-up in making this a reality for your customers. I am sure there are more than enough votes, across multiple ideas, to see how important this requirement is for your customers.
When can you commit to helping your customers with this required/basic functionality?
