How to extract xdmz / xdoz

Content

Hi,

We can download xdmz & xdoz files from catalog to upload them into another environment. Can we extract them to make them as xdm & xdo files respectively ?

Actually Data Models in BI Publisher when downloaded, have an .xdmz extension by default. However, when trying to upload this file to create a Unifier Custom Template the following Alert is thrown: Select a XDM file

Regards,

Yasar

    Hi,

It seems like the only supported data type is '.xdm'. Please check this note:

Unable to Upload External Data Model of File Type '.xdmz' Into Unifier Custom Report Templates: Error : Select a XDM file. (Doc ID 2328240.1)

Note: If any of the replies in this thread were helpful/correct, kindly mark it accordingly as this would help others who can also benefit from it.

Not sure if you realize - but the 'z' is for ZIP. If you open the XDMZ file in WinZip or 7-Zip, you'll find the XDM file. Is that what you were asking?

    Thank You Violeta,

Actually I have gone through the note (Doc ID 2328240.1) but I am unable to find the exact solution for this. How Unifier will support Custom Template files of type ".xdmz". When we are downloading from BIP catalog files are downloaded as .xdmz & .xdoz extensions but we are unable to upload these files in Unifier for creating the custom report with external data model.

Any solution/comments for this issue will be very helpful

    Regards,

    Yasar
