Capablity to recover deleted analysis/dashboards in OBI

Wanted to check if we have any ability to recover deleted analysis/dashboards in OBI by administrator. I currently do not see any option to recover deleted reports in our Zone. So for now we are creating copies of production reports in backup folders or migrating reports to staging OBI zone.

Hello Sashi,

  We cannot recover reports that have been deleted, but you can archive a report and have a local copy on your PC if you need to backup.  I recommend archiving everything on a weekly basis.

Thanks for the response. We are currently using archive/un archive feature to migrate reports between different zones. Do you know, if we can automate/schedule archive process weekly or monthly basis?

Yes, I agree with Shashi.

Manually doing these basic tasks keeps eating up time.

Has Oracle any plans inline for near future to provide SDK support just like we have in BO?

We should ask oracle to take this as an ER as we recently got this issue where folder contents went missing over night. Many are asking for this feature.

Why an ER? All archiving operations (just like any catalog operation) can be scripted using runcat since...version 7 back in 2002 if I am not mistaken.
