Email prompt does not allow for quotation mark

Content

We have a report built in Performance that pulls in a manager's full reporting hierarchy (both direct and indirect reports) based on their email address. Users are prompted to enter the email when they load the report. We're running into an issue with addresses that include a quotation mark (e.g., Andy.O'French@target.com). The report will throw an error. When I hard code the email address into the report filter, it works just fine. It's only with the prompt where we're seeing the problem. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a workaround?

I should clarify that the prompt is a Dashboard Prompt.

    Two questions:

1.)Are you using presentation variable, or regular filter?

2.)Can you add the filter view and see what the filter looks like when you pass in that value?

I'm using a presentation variable. The value comes through as the correct email, including the quotation mark.
