Link OTBI Summary Report to BIP Detail Report

Hi all - we have a request to link report A to report B.  Report A will be like a summary report - name, manager, person #, job title.  Report B will have significantly more columns of data, and some data that is not available to us through OTBI, so will need to code it via BIP.  Is it possible to create Report A through OTBI and then link through to Report B in BIP?  Otherwise, is there a way to create a link from one BIP report to another BIP report while passing the parameters through?

Hi,

Yes I had created a drill down report in BI & OTBI as well. Here is the link for BI. 

For OTBI we will have to do something with the Action Links to acheive the drill down. I will check for the Metadata & let you know.

Thank you Aravind!  I'll wait to hear more from you.  I did look at the link you provided, and think I understand if I have the parameter in the OTBI report called "businessunit" then I just need to do the same in the BI report, but how do I ensure it passes what was selected from the OTBI report and not hard coded?

I have a similar requirement to pass a parameter value from BIP to OTBI. BIP Data Model is based on a Custom OTBI Analysis.

Unfortunately not.  We moved forward with BIP Summary/Detail instead, which is not ideal as the charting options within OTBI are significantly better.
