Hi,

The admin user have the folder permission in OTBI / analytics but permissions are greyed out in xmlpserver. Same right but different access.

How can we get the permission in xmlpserver.

Thanks

Farooq

    Hi Farooq,

Clear the cache and then check it again

Also, check from OTBI what are the permissions on this folder

    Hi Ravi,

In OTBI full access for all the folders including this folder, but in BI Publisher not permission for any folder.

    Hi Farooq,

This is expected behaviour in SAAS

When BIPublisher is configured to use the OBIEE catalog, as in the case of SAAS, the permissions on the objects in the catalog are controlled and set in OBIEE (i.e. /analytics)

    Hi Farooq,
As mentioned this is a feature within OBIEE. I suggest that if you need to make changes to the folder permissions do so in /analytics.

Be careful when changing such an important folder though. If you have customised OOTB reports changing permissions to the Custom folder can impact processes and ESS jobs if the user does not have access to the root folders

    Thanks
