OTBI Dashboard Record Count Mismatch
Hi Team,
We have built a dashboard and that has a record count to count the number of rows.
We could see the record count shows different numbers for people with different set of roles.
Could you please provide your inputs or suggestions for the variance in record count whether it depends on Roles/Data Access Sets
Regards,
Swapnil

Hi All,
Thanks for the details and suggestions we checked the data access sets and roles, there is no issue with that.
The issue was with excluded columns and the measure.

Check if you have any secured views which are accessible for only certain roles.

HI @Raghavan p-Oracle ,
Thanks for the details am using subject area Payables Invoices Transactions - Real Time.
Example am getting the record count of 700 suppose but other people are getting count as 1 or 2.
Could you please let me know do I need to query PER_ASSIGNMENT_SECURED_LIST_V or PER_PERSON_SECURED_LIST_V or any other table.
How can I check whether the access is restricted to view the data.

Swapnil

Hi Swapnil,
You are right, data counts will differ for different users if the roles assigned are different. Data access sets also is another reason why counts may differ. For Payables related subject areas, the data for different users may be restricted by business units(assigned to the different users). You will be able to see additional filters being applied in the report queries. Also, if you have access to BIP, you can execute the physical queries, and, check the data being returned. That should give you a clear idea of the data filters as well.
To view the roles for the logged in user, you can select My Account, and, then roles. It will list out the roles assigned to the user.
