How do you convert UTC time to EST for transaction reporting
Summary:
Content (required):
We are experiencing having issues with Oracle time zones defaulting to UTC vs EST for transaction reporting. Our client business operations are held in EST for transaction reports, however when transactions are processed to the Oracle base tables they are being converted to UTC. For example, if a receipt is processed on 11/30/2022 at 10:30 PM EST, when accounted its being accounted for 12/1/2022 and falls under December accounting vs November since the base table is converted to UTC.
Is there a process of changing the UTC time zone to EST in the base tables in order to accurately reflect the correct time zone transactions are being posted?

Timezone at the Table/DB level cannot be changed, however, you can convert the time back to a timezone of your choosing in BI.
