Is there a way to report on Learning Plans?

Use Case and Business Need

Hoping a Learning Plan report will be available in BI by the time Insight goes away.

With Insight Reports going away at the end of the year we are looking for a way schedule a report on Learning Plan status but haven't found a way. We aren't looking for the status of mapped items in the learning plan. This would be a scheduled report that is emailed to managers. Insight Reports worked well this year for tracing progress with mandatory training.

The standard Learning Plan Report will do this. Select Learning Plans from the filter area, select only mapped users, select mapped item and item status if you want more details about what item is not completed. Insigh is way buggy now because they are not doing any work on them, however; the Learning Plan Report is solid.

Hi Pat,

Jim posted the code for creating the Learning Plan report in BI and it can be scheduled and emailed. It doesnt send you the actual report but it sends you a link and the user doesnt even have to log in to see the data. If you cant find it let me know and Ill post it here.
