Use Case and Business Need

Use Case: We wanted to build out dashboards in OTBI for the Cost Center managers to be able to see the financial performance of their cost centers. OCS helped us with this, and reccomended that we implemented Segment Value Security, which ended up being a waste of time. SVS would have limited the cost center managers to only see dashboard info from their cost center. Due to other implications of implementing SVS, we could not go down that route.

Could we potentially use the revamped security in Rel.12 to restrict a Financial Analyst role from seeing data from all but one cost center? One way I think this could be accomplished is if the data access security setup page would allow me to apply departmental or cost center values to restrict data access.
