Description

Push button reports based on fields displayed in HCM

Use Case and Business Need

In the past I've come across other HRIS/Payroll systems which had the ability to produce reports based on the screen that you were currently seeing. In ADP Payforce, this was called a UDR (User defined report) and it was an extremely useful feature if you didn't a complicated report and didn't involve needing any specific knowledge around what the labels were for each field.

For Example, if you were looking at the assignment screen below, there would be a button on the same screen to create a UDR and then an Excel report would appear for you to look at and save with all the fields that were showing.

Person Number | Name | Assignment Number | Business Unit | Person Type | Assignment Status | Primary | Projected End Date etc.

This was extremely useful especially when you had limited amount of turnaround time to produce a report or simply making to easier to produce one without knowing the specific names of the fields when your using different systems.

    Hi Arun,

I have posted this in Oracle's Idea Lab - this functionality I'm speaking about is something I've used in other applications and requesting to have something similar in Oracle HCM in the future.

If you like my idea and would like Oracle to work on this to provide in future releases please like my post above.

    Thanks,
