OTBI Admin Roles should be remove from Oracle Seeded Roles.Currently in the seeded Oracle Roles for all the domain include the BI consumer and BI Author roles. BI author roles allow user to edit the OTBI reports.

Business users to be restricted not be edit the reports

Use Case and Business Need

In Seeded Roles, OTBI access included that grant the user to edit the reports. So BI Author role to be removed from the seeded roles. Mostly we are using seeded roles and it automatically grant the access to users.

Agreed, though this is just one access controls issue that organisations will face when using seeded Roles. The solution is to customise the Roles, including reducing BI access.

We also create a folder under custom that BI author was not give access to edit. We created a custom role that provides edit to power users ONLY in DEV not in test and production. This way power users are able to create/edit shared content in one location that is them moved to test and production.
