Enabling County/District on OTBI Subject Area
Organization Name
Deloitte Consulting LLP
Description
We have an address where the County/District are not supported by Person Real Time Subject Area. The values are not in Region1, for a change. When we populated the County/District for an employee, the value did not hit the Region1 but it got stored in Additional Address Attribute2.
Are these not enabled for OTBI? If not, how do we get the attributes in such cases?
Use Case and Business Need
We are developing a report where we need to pick Address details for an employee. We have an address where the County/District are not supported by Person Real Time Subject Area. The values are not in Region1, for a change. When we populated the County/District for an employee (CHINESE in our case), the value did not hit the Region1 but it got stored in Additional Address Attribute2.
Are these not enabled for OTBI? If not, how do we get the attributes in such cases?

As far as i know there is folder in each Subject Area which contains the Additional Attributes. Its specifically there for this reason.
You may want to check the Address Format configuration. You can see the address format and the attributes used.
To make it simple:
1. Either you can go ahead and change the address format by doing analysis on existing data(when it comes to reporting) and use the standard fields which are available for use.
2. You can populate the Additional Attributes from Subject area.

Hi Vibha,
IN such cases, i would suggest you to review the datalineage document for the subject area to verify which physical table contains the respected column and you can then go ahead and create a custom BI Publisher report to suffice your requirment.
Hope it helps you
