Description

CURRENT BEHAVIOR: When creating a new analysis, you are prompted to select a subject area to base the analysis on, but you must scroll through all of them to select the one that you need.

DESIRED BEHAVIOR: A search function in the Select Subject Area modal window so that you may search for the subject area that you wish to use rather than scrolling through all of them to find it.

Use Case and Business Need

Scrolling through all of the possible subject areas available is tedious and time-consuming.

Agreed. Its a pain, while creating OTBI Analysis/Reports directly on the OTBI (OBIEE) version application link.

However this is feasible and we can search Subject Area in the "BI Composer" window in Fusion Home page,

Home Page --> Tools --> Reports and Analytics --> Create --> Analysis.

Oracle should add this feature to OBIEE Application version as well.

Work Around for searching Subject Area names in OTBI (OBIEE) Application version.

You can perform a browser search to select the Subject Area you are looking for, see attached screen shot.
