This functionality would be extremeley useful for both us and our clients. Current development and issue resolution SQL requirements result in inefficiencies.

Have been using SQLConnect (www.oraclecloudtools.com/downloads) for quite some time now. It was recommended by a friend. It saves a lot of time when it comes to running Adhoc query and doing data analysis across various pods. I was told it used standard Oracle BI APIs.

    Hi all,

I think that granting access in read-only from tool like SQL Developer would really be helpful!

    Thanks,

    Claudio

    Hi Everyone,

Yes, the current data model for the BI publisher is not efficient at all and that would be great if Oracle offers this option of connecting to HCM through SQL developer.

    Thanks,

This functionality would enable issue resolution, and would reduce the need to raise SR's with MOS.

  • Being able to use tools like "Oracle SQL Developer" or "Toad for Oracle" in read-only mode with the Cloud would be a very good improvement. Not only for HCM Cloud, but also for ERP Cloud. Using the current functionality (BI Publisher and Data Model) to create SQL queries is painful and not efficient.

I am totally agree with the fact than creating Data Model and have to create report to export the result of the script to Excel is not an efficient way.

We lose a lot of time each time we have to analyse some transaction in error or need specific informations.
