Organization Name

GE Digital

Description

Ability to run a report that lists active users , the key privileges they have access to ( key privileges that drive subscriptions ) and the number of times this privilege was accessed in a defined period ( report parameter ) and the last time it was used.  This will help assess if the users have access to subscription driving privileges that they are not using or needed. This report is essential in right sizing of the existing subscriptions

    1. In the Scheduled Processes work area, click Schedule New Process.

    2. Search for and select the User and Role Access Audit Report.

    3. In the Process Details dialog box, set parameters and click Submit.

We really need this report in order to keep up with deprovisioning and removing access based on usage.

Having a standard Oracle OTBI report or Analysis that can list service AND privileges last used by a user is very important to ensure comapanies are properly licensed. Oracle determines usage by querying the priviledges a user has access to irrespective of the user's actual usage.

The OTBI report to run is UserNamesByServiceDetails. Your first need to run the scheduled program "Import User and Role Application Security Data".

Once above program is run, run the report and pivot this report output to count distinct users by service and by Privilege. This should match to the usage report Oracle uses to audit your company's license usage.

SKU to privilege metrick is li sted below:

We have seen this need with all Cloud implementations. Oracle needs to have some way to report out what is actual license usage by user instead of having a report based on what role/privilege is assigned to the user. This can prove to be an effective way for organizations to optimize the licensing cost over a period of time

please let me know whether we got any update on this thread . Our business team want to know exactly how many users not used their roles assigned even though they have fusion access . Is there any logic to develop a Bi report ?

    Example Scenario :

Expense roles assigned to users and they not used to claim their expenses but paying oracle licenses for user roles
