Use Case and Business Need
In the case of access for territory "Reporting champions" in order to develop local reports in Oracle. Idea was to provide access to “OTBI reporting areas” which should be limited via BU data access for the particular territory. This would solve data segmentation problems and local reporting champions would have access only to the territory they belong to. While the definition of this new role was being analysed from a security perspective, system limitations were found and confirmed by Oracle, meaning that the current security model isn’t broken down into much needed degree of granularity (we would need report writing to be segregated with the ability to construct a DM invoking SQL data access). . That means providing access for territory champions means that they would have access to whole data in the system - each territory data that is onboarded to Oracle EMFI program
