How to call any external webservices via BIP reports

HI all,

Looking for an information on how to invoke external webservices via BI publisher reports. Had a raw understanding  on how to create the data set by adding the WSDL information , however its not giving complete understanding of End-to-End process  on how to call any external webservices via BIP reports.
