Description
The "Major" field in the "Degrees" folder in Workforce Profiles - Person Profile Real Time only returns codes. To determine the meaning of this code, a BI report is usually needed to query in the HCM_LOOKUPS table. Another possible workaround is to create a custom column to manually set the major name/description based on the code, but this is not practical. A separate field like "Major (description) would be very helpful in addressing this issue.
Use Case and Business Need
Having a "Major (description" field in OTBI would be helpful in drawing more information in OTBI reports to be made with regards to Person Profile Information. This would also encompass any subject areas that currently contain the Major field.
