Enable Maintenance Mode to protect the BI Catalog from being overwritten during P2T data refresh

Organization Name
UC San Diego
Description
When a data refresh from Production happens, then BI Catalog in the destination environment is also overwritten with the BI Catalog from Production. This usually invokes a tedious post-refresh task of restoring the Custom folders/objects from a previous backup/archive. We would like the option of "freezing" the BI Catalog in the destination environment via the activation of Maintenance Mode (in the Administration page in OBIEE/OTBI) in order to prevent it from being overwritten. Maintenance Mode currently does not offer the option to protect the BI Catalog from being overwritten.
Use Case and Business Need
This proposed feature would protect the BI Catalog in the destination environment from being overwritten from Production during a data refresh and would eliminate the need for post-refresh folder/object restoration tasks. This Maintenance Mode option would greatly enhance OBIEE/OTBI administration operations.
