What is "Midpoint Value" in FAW map color option?

Hi All,

I'm creating an analysis using world map where i want to use conditional formatting, I have created that and on tabular data conditional formatting is working as expected but I am not able to apply this formatting on map.

On world map after right click getting

color> manage assignments... option I can see

an option "Midpoint Value"

I can pass "Auto" or any number but what is the significance of this option and value I have no clue.

Can someone provide any update on this?
