More Granular Audit Configuration for OTBI Reports and Data Models

SaaS Customers are currently limited to an Audit Level of Medium for OTBI / BI Publisher catalog objects. This results in auditing many events beyond updating, creating, or deleting reports and data models. This results in much larger audit logs than are necessary for some customers. Additionally, the current 3 month retention period for audit data poses some operational challenges for customers that require logs of catalog object metadata changes for audit & compliance purposes.

It would be useful to allow more fine-grained configuration of OTBI / BI Publisher Audit Level so a customer can specifically audit update, create, and delete operations on objects in the OTBI / BI Publisher catalog (without also auditing inquiry activity) and increase the retention period for object changes.

Business Case

This enhancement would make the audit trail data for OTBI / BI Publisher catalog objects more usable for audit and compliance purposes by allowing a customer to audit a narrower range of events and generate audit reports covering a longer period of time.
