UOM Conversion Values in OTBI
Capture the UOM conversions (interclass and intraclass) in an Oracle OTBI subject area. UOM conversion is already setup in the system and should be able to be referenced per the item for interclass and UOM conversions. We understand that reporting UOM can be used to display an item in a different UOM, but we are looking for the actual interclass/intraclass UOM conversion value in a field.

Nathan, could you share a mockup of how you would expect the report to look? I ask because it's quite common for items to have multiple inter and intraclass conversions. You didn't mention if you'd like this added to an existing OTBI subject area, or an entire new one created which would have to be joined, but I'm assuming this may be useful in an On Hand OTBI area.
For example, in a situation of a paint manufacturer and retail store, you may have
UOM Class Quantity with UOM's Sample, 1Gal, 5Gal, 55 Gal, Case, Pallet, Each, Base UOM of Each
UOM Class Weight with UOM's G, KG, MG, LB, T, Base UOM of Grams
UOM Class Volume with UOMs Gallon, Tote, Base UOM of Gallons
Do you want the OTBI subject area to only report on Primary UOM to Base UOM of each class? IE, for an item SeafoamBlue with primary UOM of 1Gal, the report may show
On Hand: 10 EA 1 EA per 1GAl, 0.0002331 EA per Gram, 1 EA per Gallons
Or do you want it to show On Hand: 10 EA, 1Gal per 1 Ea, 4,290g per EA, 1 Gallon per Ea
Or do you want it to show all of the defined combinations outside of the standard UOM conversions? Do you want all conversions to be listed in a single cell, or do you want one column per class?
In the meantime, I'm assuming you have this addressed today through a custom data model based on SQL joining the tables together? Maybe you could share an example of that report even if some of the data has to be obscured.

Has anyone figured out where the Subject Area is to create an OTBI report with the UOM Intraclass Conversions list. There is no way to export in Excel form the Setup and Maintenance/Procurement/Manage Units of Measure for Intraclass Conversion, View "Manage UOM Intraclass Conversions". Would also like the Manage Units of Measure for Interclass Conversion list also.
