Parameter anomalies when setting a filter in the BIP report
Summary
There was an anomaly with the report parameter. The scenario is that when the set parameter option in the report is set to "ALL" it works fine, it can generate data as expected. But when "ALL" option data is not set, for example I have only one unselected among the options in the list, it automatically includes other data in the option list even if it is not included in the unselected.
As per discussion with Oracle under Service Request Ticket:
When unselecting option in the parameter regarding all values selected, we need to navigate first to "Search" button inside of drop-down list.
Then inside the search button, click the "Move all" to select all elements inside then when the data is pulled in the selected section (in the right side).
And select again the option we want to unselect in the list then remove.
In this case, it will retrieve all selected options in the list except the unselected one. And this behavior is default and expected as per Oracle.
But the business says that it should be working when you select or unselect it in the drop-down list and there is no need to navigate to the option list inside the parameter.
We hope that this part of the parameter will function as business expected in the parameter so that it can also help and speed up the generating of data in the report for business needs.
