Post-Decks FAQ (KPIs, Cards and Decks now deprecated)
KPIs, Cards and Decks were deprecated with the 24.R1 “platform” release. This rolled out roughly a week ago. A few questions have arisen which are summarized below.
What happened to the FAW “hamburger” menu?
The hamburger menu was removed from the FAW Homepage as: 1) KPIs and Decks went away, and 2) the rest of the links are duplicated on the new Home Page. All that’s functionally left at the FAW URL is the single Console page. As a convenience we may add some links back in the Console to static destinations like “Catalog” or “Home.”
Why didn’t I get to opt-in to the 24.R1 “platform” release?
Unlike data or content releases, platform ones have never been opt-in. They roll out uniformly across the fleet. This release was and felt unique, however, due to the deprecation of KPIs, Cards and Decks.
Why are previous links or bookmarks hanging?
You might have had links or bookmarks to URLs that included a query string like servername/ui/oax/?ojr=decks.
As Decks, for example, no longer exist these links to unknown locations currently do not resolve and will appear to hang/spin. If you can update your links to servername/ui/dv/
that should provide the quickest fix. This will be the permanent link for the FAW business user and/or content author's Home Page.
With this release a user with the Functional Admin role will continue to see the FAW Console page at servername/ui/oax/
. Any users without that role will be redirected to servername/ui/dv/
where all the end-user application content and authoring tools reside. Updating your bookmarks/links would be optimal long-term, however.

About Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse
Where Is My Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse Content?
Where did my KPIs go?
Use of the Content Migration Utility converted legacy KPIs to Key Metrics. Key Metrics are associated and found with the Subject Area from which they are primarily derived. If you never had used the content migration utility we auto-migrated content in Dev in December, 2023 and in Prod in January, 2024. Your KPIs should have been upgraded to Key Metrics. Any custom Decks should have landed as Workbooks in a /Shared Folders/custom/AutoMigrate_Decks
folder.

How can I simplify the Home Page?
Showing all Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse content on the Home Page can be a lot of information. To simplify your Home Page experience, consider implementing the following suggestions. These can be accessed from the Home Page menu.
Configuration
- In Customize Home Page, hide all content categories except Featured Watchlists, Favorites, and Workbooks.
- Set Featured Watchlists* to 1 Column
- Set Favorites to Large view and 1 Row
- Set Workbooks to Small view and 1 or 2 Rows
*Note: Adding content to Watchlists outside of Workbook edit mode is a preview feature. This can be enabled by an Admin at the site level.
