In Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence, Users can leverage the connections to diverse data sources and applications, and seamlessly integrate additional data from these sources with pre-existing datasets, enriching business analysis capabilities or facilitating custom reporting.

One notable Cloud Application Connection is the Analytics Publisher within Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications which enables users to extract data from Analytics Publisher reports (formerly Oracle BI Publisher) and create augmentations. By incorporating additional attributes from Publisher reports into Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence, this connector empowers users with enhanced analysis and reporting capabilities.

Below video showcases the steps to configure and validate the BI Publisher Connector feature within Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence.

    Hi @Vinithra B-Oracle

    I have some issues with this method, that you hopefully can help me with.

    My augmentation of BI Publisher reports works fine but when I add a column to the datamodel and therefore to the report I am augmenting in to FDI, the column is not showing…

    I am refreshing the metadata of the the data connection and then trying to edit the data augmentation, but the new column is not visible…

    What am I doing wrong? 🤨

    Thanks in advance

    Anders

    Or is it just not possible to create a new column in the ADW, once the BI Publisher augmentation dataset has been created, so you need to create it as a new data augmentation?

    @Anders W. Langholm -

    After making modifications to the BIP report, have you re-run the refresh metadata before re-executing the augmentation? If not, please perform a metadata refresh first and then run the augmentation. Verify if the changes are reflected in the augmented dataset.

    Thank you!

    Hi @Sumanth V -Oracle

    Yes, I have refreshed the metadata after modifying the datamodel in BIP.

    The added column is not showing in the Attribute selection or column options after refresh.

    Do you think it would help to run the augmentation and then afterwards see if that has made any difference?

    Thank you :)
