Is it possible in BIP reporting to have email body from a RTF template ( large content ) and then attach an attachment in the same email from another template?

Did you tried the direct content output to your Email body - Yes its possible . but dynamically you can't able to do 2 tasks at a time. You can try to schedule both reports and copy to shared path and then trigger the direct content(Inline) and attachment.
