Impact of FDI upgrades on custom subject areas

If we create a subject area based on a pre-built one,  Will FDI upgrades affect both?

For example:  We create a “Custom AP Invoices” subject area based on the prebuilt “AP Invoices”.  If an FDI upgrade includes new columns or changes to existing ones on “AP Invoices”; will these changes be propagated to “Custom AP Invoices”?

Please refer https://docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/analytics-for-applications/doc/oracle-fusion-data-intelligence-releases.html which says "Application Releases contain updates to the data model and new content when available."

I would also suggest you to refer to https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/analytics/24r2/fawwn/index.html#GUID-27505232-5CDD-41B3-9ED2-C253139B49CA to know the pre-built tables and columns that may get deprecated in FDI releases. This would help you to maintain your customizations across releases.

It seems unlikely, as it merely copies the content from the prebuilt subject area at the time of creation, after which the newly created subject area will be treated like any other custom subject area.

FDI upgrades will touch only Delivered content not custom content.
