Is OID only External Authenticators for OBIA 11g?

Dear Experts,

I have a basic question today.

Have anyone of you implemented any external authenticator other than OID (like LDAP / MS-AD / OVD etc) successfully for OBIA 11g?

The Oracle Document (Doc ID 2063809.1) clearly mentions below:

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) is the only External Authenticator supported and certified with Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA).

MSAD and other LDAP solutions are certified and supported with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) as standalone applications.  However, they are not certified or supported with OBIA 11g.

    Are you planning on leveraging the OOTB OBIA security model or setting up your own (simplifying)?  The former is what requires the OID certification for support.
