Hi everyone,

I'm encountering an issue with two workbook in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence, and I'm hoping someone might be able to help or has experienced something similar.

Problem Details:

  • Unable to See or Edit Workbook: The "Edit" option for the workbook does not work — completely unresponsive. (see below picture)
  • Cross-Browser Issue: I've tried accessing the workbook on multiple browsers (Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge), but the issue persists across all of them.
  • Cache Cleared: I've cleared the cache and cookies in all browsers, but it didn't resolve the problem.
  • Duplication Attempted: Duplicating the workbook results in the same issue—no content appears, and it remains uneditable.
  • No Error Messages: There are no error messages or warnings displayed; the workbook simply remains empty as shown in the attached screenshot.

Additional Information:

There have been no recent updates or changes to the system that I’m aware of, and this issue arose suddenly. I'm not sure if this could be a data source issue or if the workbook itself might be corrupted.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Given that this seems to be a product issue, you may want to open an SR to have it be investigated.

Thanks for the reply. SR ticket has been opened as well already.

  • Hello @JT_DC_2023 , Can you please share following details ?

    1. Is this an Out of the box DV ? If yes then can you please share details about the same ?
    2. If it is a custom DV then subject area details would also be helpful? if it is OOTB subject area or a custom subject area ?
    3. Can you also share Data/Duty role that a user has access to ? From below screen ( This one is from Classic Home Page )

Also , please request your admin user to use Issue SQL tile and execute following command -

    Call SAPurgeAllCache()

You will get following screen once the command executed from the Issue SQL UI

Please try logging out of the browser , close the browser and re-open it after that. If the issue persist after that as well then please provide all these information/steps on SR. So that appropriate support representative / development teams can debug / guide further.

    Regards,

    Nupur

    Hi everyone,

I wanted to provide an update on the issue I was facing with the workbook.

After some troubleshooting, I was able to resolve the problem by following these steps:

    1. I accessed the workbook using the edit mode by adding &viewermode=false to the URL.
    2. Once in edit mode, I reviewed the workbook pages and identified any KPIs that were causing calculation errors. These issues might have been related to updates in the underlying semantic model.
    3. To fix the problem, I renamed each workbook page, ensuring that every page had a unique new name. Alternatively, you can create a copy of each page and delete the original one.
    4. After making these changes, I saved the workbook, and it started functioning correctly.

It seems this issue might be a bug, so if anyone else encounters it, these steps should help. Hopefully, Oracle will address this in a future update.

Thanks to everyone who offered assistance!

    Best,
    Joshua
