BIApps on ODI Marketplace
Hi,
As part of cloud migration strategy, we are planning to migrate our ODI Repository installed as part of BIApps to ODI Marketplace.
We want to know if ODI Marketplace supports BIApps or should we install BIApps with ODI in a Virtual Machine.
Regards,
Shiva

@Shiva Uppushetty - Yes, you will have to go with a fresh install of BIApps for the migration.
If you are planning to go with OCI platform then for RCU ATP can be used.OBIA 11.1.10.3 Patch Set Release Guide (Doc ID 2808444.1)
**Supported Oracle Autonomous Database (ATP-D & ATP-S) only for the target DB RCU (Platform)In case of On-prem then Oracle DB's between 19c -21c are supported.

ODI (Oracle Data Integrator) used by BI Applications (BIApps) is installed as a critical prerequisite for BIApps operations. All BIApps functionalities rely on this integrated ODI setup. It is important to note that you cannot substitute this with ODI Marketplace, as it would act as standalone instance. Such instance do not support the necessary integration with BIApps, which is essential for proper operation and data integration.

Hi Sumanth,
Then, only option is to install BIApps with ODI in a Virtual Machine correct? If yes, where should I install ODI repository schemas? ATP, DBCS, or ADW?
Please note that our target DWH is ADW.

Shiva
