Yes, you can leverage Fusion application's data security in OAC by using the options below under Authentication to specify how you'd like to authenticate the connection:
Hope this helps!
It doesn't work exactly the same way as we have a difference in terminology. But data will be secured as per roles in FA.
Check below blog for more details:
Implementing Data Level Security in Oracle Analytics Cloud Using Identity Cloud Service
Thanks.
The document you are referencing is accurate for connecting an OAC application to Oracle Applications. Currently, you can connect only to the following applications within the Fusion Applications Suite:
Please ensure that you are attempting to connect to one of the above-listed applications. If you are, kindly share the error message encountered while trying to create the connection.
Thank you!
Hi Sumanth,
Thanks for the quick response, connection is created now as I didn't included /analytics in the URL when connecting.
I have a doubt that when we connect fusion application with FAW/FDI, we have pre built content in OAC ready, but when we connect with OAC to oracle fusion application i see no such pre built content. Is that an expected behavior?
Best Regards,
Sai Hemanth
@Nalsoft Pvt Ltd - Yes, it's expected behavior, you will have no prebuilt content.
When you connect to applications in Fusion Applications Suite, you access the data from an Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence report unlike FDI.
How can we implement data security restrictions in OAC? are the data roles present in fusion application which are assigned to the user will work for the data in OAC as well?
Hi Sumanth & Mandeep,
Thank you for your response. My doubt is cleared.
