Bypass FDI Security Assignments

Hello,

We have a large number of users within FDI and within ERP none of the AP/AR/GL Business Unit or Ledger assignments are set.

Is there a way for users to only have the FAW Licensed Author Role but still see all available data within the Subject areas? Essentially have no Business unit or Ledger Security. This will decrease maintenance and we are not concerned about data security across ledger/BU's.

By default, this functionality is enabled for the out-of-the-box (OOTB) roles such as FAW Licensed roles. If required, you can configure custom security settings to align with your specific requirements.

Hi @Conor Murnane,

For the above scenario, you can create the Custom Groups in FDI and assign the required FDI duty roles to the customly created group. By assigning the custom group to the users will have access to the reports and subject areas.

Note: You need to assign only the FDI duty roles and not the data roles. I think the above solution will work for viewing the data for all the ledger/BU

Hi @Sathyaprakash M , so are you saying that if we don't assign the data roles to the groups, the users will be able to see all the data irrespective of their data access in Fusion?
