Hi Team,

We are in the process of selecting an ETL tool to recommend to our client for their FDI implementation. Could someone clarify the differences between recommending Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) on Marketplace (MP) and Oracle Data Transforms? I understand that Oracle Data Transforms have recently been suggested as an alternative to ODI for less complex scenarios, but is it truly a viable option, or is ODI on MP still the better choice?

Thanks & Regards,

VIvek Gautam

    @Vivek_Gautam -

    The out-of-the-box (OOTB) FDI implementation includes default pipelines already set up for the functional areas. Could you kindly confirm if you are looking to use Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) as a separate ETL tool for customizations?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Kindly refer the below blog which lists the differences between ODI MP and ODI Data Transform tools:

    Hope this helps!

    Hi @Sumanth V -Oracle ,

    Yes, a separate ETL tool will be utilized to transfer data from non-Fusion source systems. I've reviewed Jayant Mahto's blog, but I'm looking to understand whether it's feasible to perform medium-complex transformations, such as using lookup tables, creating YTD and QTD metrics, pivoting data, and similar tasks.

    If anyone has already conducted a PoC and can share their experience, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks & Regards,
