OTBI Agent triggered each time a report is updated

Hello experts,

does anyone know if it is possible to schedule an OTBI report in order to be received by the HR each time their employees data in the report are updated. For example, if an employee changes his manager, the HR should receive by email the report that highlight that this employee's manager has been changed. Is this agent feasible?

Hi Oriana,

Unfortunately, we can;t create any event based triggers in Fusion. You won't be able to achieve it using BIP as well. Only thing you can do is to create a BIP report, design it to pick any changes in last 5 minutes and schedule it to run every 5 minutes.

There is another option of Oracle Alerts also but again that needs to be scheduled to poll any changes in a fixed interval.

What you are asking for is a basically an event-based notification which is not supported by OTBI. Using, OTBI, you can schedule the agent to run on a fixed schedule only.
