Count vacant positions in FDI using Position Managment Subject Area

Question

We need to get vacant positions through Position Management subject area. The business need is that : the position is considered as vacant if there is no incumbent or if it's occupied only by Pending Workers and or Contingent Workers.

Could you please share any formula or expression that may help in FAW ? or if you faced the same cases or business requirements.

The HCM - Position subject area has a few facts related to incumbent which you can use to find the vacant positions. You can subtract the number of positions with an incumbent from the number of all positions. Something like this:

"HCM - Positions"."Facts - Positions"."Position Count" - "HCM - Positions"."Facts - Positions"."Position Incumbent Count"

I don't believe that will meet the full requirement that you have outlined because I believe Contingent Workers who are assigned to a position will lead to that positions having an incumbent. What is the reason that your organization considers those positions vacant?
