Trendline Function in FDI OAC

Trendline function doesn't work using the OOTB subject areas in FDI. We tried with Year, Quarter, Period dimensions along with the amount column from GL balance sheet subject area. Need the trendline function to work correctly for performing further advanced analytics in FDI.
