Connecting a custom data set to a standard data model

We report on a database that is maintained by the supplier. The supplier provides standard data models and standard reports.

In our organization, we have in the past turned standard data models into custom data models with a custom reports. Due to a personnel change and a lot of maintenance time on the custom data models, we want to use the standard data models (at the standard location) with the possibility of creating a custom data set at the custom location. The supplier has indicated that it cannot build in our customization, because the standard data models are also used by other organizations and they cannot work with our customizations.

Does anybody know a solution?

    Hi @User_0OG2P,
There is no our of the box solution here that you can utilize by using the Customize button that you may be using to customize the seeded report.

For your use case i would recommend that you copy the seeded report and data model to a custom location, rename the files(data model and report) and then modify them to suit your need.

Once the modification is done, you can then create custom ESS job set to run/call this customization from Fusion Application.

You may have to repeat this process depending on how many customized variants you need of the seeded report and data model.

    Regards,
    Gaurav
