Business Justification:
The current "all-or-nothing" ingestion model creates critical inefficiencies:

• Performance: Slows processing and analytics with unnecessary data.
• Cost: Increases storage and compute expenses for irrelevant fields.
• Clarity: Complicates data models and obscures meaningful insights.
• Risk: Expands the security and governance footprint unnecessarily.

Conclusion:
Attribute selection is a foundational data best practice. This enhancement is essential for the CPQ FDI to deliver a performant, cost-effective, and valuable analytical solution. We urge its prioritization. This even helps with another idea we have submitted to enhance the product to include extracting CPQ CLOB attributes, which is a critical road block for FDI CPQ. This feature would have helped avoid the roadblock as well.
