EIT data availability in FDI

Within our Human Capital Management (HCM) environment, Extra Information Types (EITs) are extensively and strategically leveraged to capture supplementary, non-standard, and often bespoke organizational attributes. These critical data elements are currently distributed across various HCM modules, serving to define specific organizational nuances or process requirements not accommodated by standard fields.
Presently, our Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) platform exclusively incorporates data from Descriptive Flexfields (DFFs). This architectural limitation creates a fragmented data landscape, compelling business users to navigate to HCM's native reporting functionalities to access any EIT-specific data. This dual reporting path introduces operational inefficiencies, potential data inconsistencies, and hinders the ability to conduct comprehensive, integrated analytics from a single source of truth. The current setup also diminishes self-service reporting capabilities, leading to increased reliance on technical teams and slower insight generation.
The integration of all relevant EIT and DFF data into FDI would represent a significant enhancement to our data analytics capabilities. This consolidation would provide our business users with a holistic and unified view of critical HR information, thereby substantially improving the efficiency, accessibility, and depth of their reporting. It would empower them to perform more robust analysis, identify trends, and make more informed, data-driven decisions swiftly.
Specifically, our immediate focus for integration includes foundational EIT categories such as Workstructure EIT, which defines organizational hierarchy and job characteristics; Person EIT, capturing unique individual details; and Assignment EIT, detailing employment terms and conditions. Incorporating these key EIT types is crucial for enabling a complete and accurate understanding of our workforce and organizational structure within FDI
