How to config auto run when user click apply button in OAS-Publisher

Question

I’m having an issue: when I open a report on OAS that’s built with an Excel template, it auto-runs right away and downloads the Excel file. I want to configure it so that when I first open it, it won’t run until I choose the parameters, and only when I click apply it should run and download the file.

This is an expected as you are using Excel Template . You can try RTF template so you can able to see the data if required you can able to download to excel format.

Hi @BrandonH , thanks for getting back to me.

The issue is if I turn off auto-run, then when I click Apply it doesn’t query any data, it only runs and exports to Excel when I click Export (since I’m using BI Publisher Excel format). What I want is: when I click Apply, the results should show up on screen (like in the screenshot), and the report should only run after user click Apply.

Would really appreciate your help on this 🙏.
