For an SFTP connection, do the META_DATASTORES.csv and the META_DATASTORES_%%%%_COL.csv files need to remain on the server in order for the connection/data augmentation to continue to work?
As per my experience, these files are essential metadata configuration files for Oracle Fusion Data Integrator (FDI) data augmentations and SFTP.
While I don´t know an answer to your question, you may want to explore the Lock Metadata field in the connection setup. I guess you need to test and find out for yourself.
I agree with Silvio Garber comments.
Thanks. This augmentation is already set up with the Lock Metadata turned on. It seems that the metadata files are required to remain in the source folder for the connection to continue to work (even if the metadata files have already been processed).

I found documentation here:…
