Error Installing BI Publisher - Set Word2007 flg failed

Question

I am currently trying to install BI Publisher on my laptop. When trying to install I'm getting an error that states "Set Word2007 flg failed".

Has anyone experienced this before?

Appreciate any guidance you may have!

Hi Shrikrushna,

I faced a similar issue before. It was caused by an Office and BI Publisher version mismatch. Try running the installer as Administrator, ensure Office and BI Publisher are both 32-bit or 64-bit, and repair Office before reinstalling.

Will this error msg come up if you dont' have admin rights to the machine?

Please ensure you're using the correct installer version and that it is compatible with your environment.

* If you have already installed 32 Bit and trying to install 64 Bit on top of that. Please make sure all the components related to 32 Bit are uninstalled first, completely.
* You must have admin rights in your PC / Laptop.
* If Office is32 bit, winword.exe will be under Program Files (x86).
* make sure JRE 1.8 32-bit is installed,  use the 7.6 Analytics Publisher Desktop for Office 32-bit.
