Cannot edit OOB Oracle workbooks even after placing in Custom folder?
I am copying and pasting (also tried saving as after editing) the OOB Oracle content workbooks into a custom folder that we manage in the catalog. The simplest of edits like changing the defaults prompt values, even though saved successfully, don't actually take. If I close after the changes and reopen the custom version of the workbook, the default prompts show again. Is this a bug or expected functionality? I don't recall this being the case in the past.

I figured out what was missing from the changes I was making. The workbooks are 100% editable once moved to a custom folder, one just has to pay attention to the Oracle design that uses parameters heavily within each workbook. Thanks for pitching in though @RVohra, I appreciate it.

As per my understanding, this is expected behavior for most OOTB Oracle-delivered (FDI / AFA / FAW) workbooks. Oracle locks certain elements including initial filter prompt defaults so that copying a workbook to a custom folder still references the underlying seeded model metadata, which resets defaults on reopen. This is not a bug, but a known design constraint.

Thanks for providing the update here. Yes, there is no generic rule, it will be on case-by-case basis. For some workbooks based on the design, it will work and for others it won't.
