Using BIPublisher RTF template how to create protected word outputs ?

I am using BI Publisher RTF templates to generate WORD output reports. The requirement is to have the Word output report "protected" so that Users cannot change the values, but alongside also have a few fields which will be editable. How to achieve this?

It is an interesting requirement. As per my understanding, it might not be possible at BIP level because there is no “protect Word output” option. If possible, it could be done at the Microsoft Word template level, we might need to leverage Word document protection with editable regions inside the RTF template. Hope it helps!
