Visualizing Organizational Hierarchy with the Org Chart custom extension in Oracle Analytics

If you work with employee reporting structures or other parent-child relationships, the Org Chart custom extension helps transform that hierarchy into a clear, easy-to-read visual layout. The extension presents organizational data in a parent-child structure, making it simple to represent reporting relationships between entities. You can also color-code nodes to highlight roles, departments, or other key attributes.

You can download the extension zip file here:

Upload the zip file into Oracle Analytics Cloud instance by navigating to Console→Extensions and you start adding the visualization to your workbooks.

Important:

Ensure to whitelist the domain ‘*.cloudflare.com ’under Safe Domains in your Oracle Analytics instance.

Quick Question: Is this feature (or something similar) also available for FDI, Or are there any plans to support it there in FDI?

Thanks for sharing! Coincidentally, I had one use case wherein one child may have multiple parent relationship. For example, person C can be reporting to person A, who is the Direct Reporting Manager of C. At the same time, C can be reporting to person B as well, where person B is a Dotted line Manager to C. So in essence I would need the directed edges to be either color-coded different based on the manager type or show one as a solid line and other as dotted.

Currently we are writing custom python codes for this. However wanted to see if this extension can help us achieve this in the application itself.

@Bhaskar Konar This is a generic custom extension that can be used with any dataset including FDI subject areas.
