Oracle FDI Semantic Model Status Not available after data augmentation with bi publisher
Hi,
is it correct that after performing data augmentation with a report from BI Publisher, the augmentation has the "Semantic Model Status" set to "Not Available"? And if it needs to be set to "Available", how can this be done?

@Han Xi Zhao - Welcome to the Oracle Analytics Community!
Please note that the Semantic Model is not available for the Augmentation Type “Dataset”, and this is expected behavior by design. The Semantic Model is only applicable for augmentation types such as Dimension, Fact, and Entity Extension.
Additionally:
- Dataset is the default and recommended augmentation type for bringing external data into the warehouse.
- Once the data is ingested, you can build your own semantic model using Semantic Model Extensions (SME).
- The SME Options for Data Augmentation (under Generally Available Features) should only be enabled if you are using Dimension, Fact, or Entity Extension augmentation types.
- These augmentation types are no longer recommended and may be deprecated in future releases.

Given the above, how do we make the data brought in from the BIP connector available to use in reports?

@Ross Geddes - By using semantic model extensions. Please refer the below document for full details -
